Compliance and enforcement actions

On 6 March 2025, a banning order was made under section 73ZN(2)(a)(iii) of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (NDIS Act). The banning order prohibits Shaun Andrew Matheson from:

1) engaging in any activities that would be delivering support and services to NDIS funded participants;

2) engaging in activities that an NDIS provider would undertake, to the extent that those activities relate to NDIS supports or services;

3) engaging in activities that would be undertaken as a consultant, to the extent that those activities relate to NDIS supports or services;

4) engaging in activities that would be undertaken as an auditor for an NDIS provider, to the extent that those activities relate to NDIS supports or services; and

5) engaging in activities in a non-service and non-support delivery role as a provider, to the extent that those activities have a direct effect on the provision of NDIS funded supports or services to people with disability in the NDIS.

6) Providing or be involved or assisting in the provision, to any NDIS Participant, of any support(s)or service(s) under a Participant’s Plan. 

7) Engaging in any work or providing or performing any support(s) or service(s) (whether paid or unpaid), for or on behalf of any NDIS Provider, which may occasion any personal contact between you and an NDIS Participant.

The banning order takes effect on 14 March 2025 at 5:00pm AEST for a period of 3 years, across all States and Territories of Australia.
