Notify us of changes or events

Registered NDIS providers must notify the NDIS Commission of significant changes and events. This includes events that significantly affect your ability to deliver the NDIS supports and services they are registered to provide.

Log in to the NDIS Commission Portal. You must notify us when the change occurs or as soon as possible afterwards.

When to notify us

1. Changes to your organisation

This includes changes to:

  • contact details
  • location details (eg. moving to a new address, opening or closing an outlet)
  • services or supports you deliver
  • geographical areas where supports are provided
  • your key personnel (such as a new CEO or company director)
  • legal entity type/business structure
  • Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN)
  • business name (trading name) or legal entity name, and
  • ownership, including the sale, merger or transfer of all or part of your business.

2. Events that significantly affect your ability to meet conditions of your registration

For example, an event that means you can no longer (or significantly limited) meet the NDIS Practice Standards.  

3. Changes to your financial situation  

The change must significantly affect your ability to deliver the supports and services you’re registered to provide. For example, being the subject of legal proceedings to be declared bankrupt or placed under administration.

4. Changes that deny people with disability access to supports and services  

This only applies to the supports or services you’re registered to provide and includes:

  • a decision to no longer accept new participants for NDIS supports or services, whether on a temporary or permanent basis
  • a significant increase in wait times to provide NDIS supports or services to people with disability
  • a significant shortfall in your available workers to provide NDIS supports or services, and
  • no longer providing NDIS supports or services, whether on a temporary or permanent basis.

5. Events affecting your suitability to deliver supports or services to people with disability

This includes if you, or any of your key personnel, have been:

  • convicted of an indictable offence under law  
  • insolvent under administration
  • the subject of adverse findings or enforcement action by a government organisation. This includes:
    • the Australian Securities and Investments Commission
    • the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission
    • the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission
    • the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority
    • the Australian Crime Commission
    • AUSTRAC
    • a body of a State or Territory that is equivalent to a body mentioned above
    • a body with responsibilities relating to the quality or regulation of services provided to people with disability, older people or children, or
    • a state or territory work health and safety authority.
  • the subject of any findings or judgment in relation to fraud, misrepresentation or dishonesty in any administrative, civil or criminal proceedings, or is currently party to any proceedings that may result in the applicant being the subject of such findings or judgment, or
  • disqualified from managing corporations under Part 2D.6 of the Corporations Act 2001
