Arrange an interpreter

Supporting effective communication upholds the rights of people with disabilities to have choice and control and make decisions about their own lives.

Your NDIS provider is responsible for offering you interpreter services to help you use your supports.

Your provider or support coordinator can book a face-to-face or over the phone language support interpreter.

Your provider or support worker can register with TIS National and book online so you and your carers can access NDIS funded interpreters.

All interpreters working with NDIS participants must have a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.

You can ask your provider or support coordinator to help book a specific interpreter every time you meet with them.

For more information about using an interpreter for your NDIS services, visit the NDIS website.

You can call TIS National direct on 131 450 and they can contact us on 1800 035 544.
