Only self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants can choose to get supports and services from unregistered providers.
If you’re planning to hire an unregistered provider, you’re encouraged to check that their workers have completed a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
To do this, you will need to get access to the NDIS Worker Screening Database, and search for the worker there, as if you were employing the worker.
All NDIS providers and workers, regardless of worker screening status, must follow the NDIS Code of Conduct.
